About the NGFL:
The girls league was formed in 2004 with approx 19 teams.
Following its success and the amount of interest generated from the first development season, the league was restructured as an affiliated league in 2005 and called The Northumberland Girls League.
Whilst the league does have a very competitive edge to it and formal divisional winners and runners up receive prizes, we place a lot of emphasis on participation and development.
There were over 60 teams taking part in 2006/07 and each successive season has seen the number of teams taking part increase.
In 2011/12, there are over 700 girls from the ages of 8 to 16 playing in the JustSport Northumberland Girls Football League.
The NGFL has now tied up a five year sponsorship deal with Justsport. The league would like to thank all of the staff for their support. Details of Justsports website can be found on the 'contacts' page

All managers/players can view the PINPOINT LEAGUE forum to see which players are looking for teams, and which teams are looking for players. The link is on the 'contacts' page, under 'useful links'.
Please note:
All results must be emailed or texted to the fixture secretary on clareplant4@tiscali.co.uk or 07879 006 708 before 7pm for weekend games or 9pm on midweek games.
Any other news or times of managers meetings will appear here as the season progresses.
All results with scores higher than 6 will be recorded as 6 only ( eg a 9-0 win will be recorded as 6-0 on the results and on the league tables). The leagues are not decided by goal difference at the end of the season. The management committee will keep a record of the true results.
